Round the Geltinger Bucht you can find very beautiful beachsides to spend your summer holidays. Long, endless beaches are waiting for you and your family. If you deside to check out the beach in Falshöft be sure to also visit the Falshöft Lighthouse as well as the Nature reserve Geltinger Birk. You can get there by foot just in a few minutes.
Beaches round the Geltinger Bucht
- Between Falshöft and Hasselberg
The beach sections between Falshöft and Hasselberg are either sandy beaches or natural beaches. Bathing fun in the Baltic Sea is guaranteed on this 6.5 kilometre long beach. In Hasselberg, Pottloch and Kronsgaard you can rent beach chairs. In Gammeldamm and Oehe you can find ideal conditions for surfing. Adventure events for children are offered in Hasselberg during the summer season. Good food is offered in the restaurants in Falshöft and between Golsmaas and Hasselberg/Oehe.
The sandy beach in the fishing village Maasholm has a section for surfers. If you're planning to eat out, there are restaurants in the village. Dogs are allowed on the beach and a free car park is available 100 metres away.
- Mühlendamm and Neukirchen
At the Mühlendamm, you can find a natural sandy beach and, in Neukirchen, a flat-sloping natural beach. Both beaches have a length of approx. 100 metres with enough space for sunbathing. Free car parks are only 200 metres away.
- Norgaardholz, Steinbergholz, Steinberghaff, Ohrfeldhaff
Steinberg and Ohrfeldhaff offer a great beach for people with disabilities and even surfers will find their happiness here. In Norgaardholz, you will find a bathing jetty and a great, rather long dog beach in the west. In addition, the lifeguard offers swimming courses for children during summer holidays in Norgaardholz. In Steinberghaff, children can take part in sailing courses for the duration of one week. Free car parks are available nearby.
- Steinberg: Habernis
The natural sandy and pebbly beach is 370 metres long. A narrow coastline leads you into the water. In close proximity of the bathing beach, you can find a playground for children. Guided tours through the natural resort are available upon request with the local nature conservation association in Habernis in order to watch the wide variety of wildlife.
- Steinberg: Na de Huk
The 800 metre long sandy beach Na de Huk offers enough space for great bathing fun. The flat-sloping entrance to the water is safe to use for everyone. There's a small playground directly at the beach. Car parks are in close range of the beach.
The beach section in Wackerballig is an eldorado for surfers and may be used for such between September 15 and May 15. The particularly flat-sloping water entrance is quite convenient and makes this beach ideal for families during the summer months. About 50 metres from the beach you can find a small playground. A free car park is available just 100 metres from the beach.
