Slow down, it's time forA village history: Güby
Güby
Between Schlei, school bench and golf course
The village of Güby borders on the Große Breite, the widest spot of the Schlei, in the north-east, a true Eldorado for sailors and water sports enthusiast. The village probably is best known for its boarding school, Louisenlund, cosmopolitan and internationally oriented. With 350 pupils, it is one of the largest boarding schools in Schleswig-Holstein.
What can be developed from a typical end moraine landscape, defined by many hedge banks, an extensive tree population and ponds, can be seen in Güby on the golf course. Guests and players who must pay a green fee are always welcome on the lush green.
Due to the ideal location between Schleswig and Eckernförde, Güby is suitable both as a holiday destination for the culturally interested holidaymaker as well as a starting point for a unforgettable beach holiday at the Schlei and the Baltic Sea.
If you prefer sports activities on land, the close proximity to the hiking and cycling route of the Schlei region leaves nothing to be desired.
