Slow down, it's time forA village history: Kosel
A gem at the Schlei
The Kosel municipal consists of the villages Kosel, Weseby, Missunde and Bohnert abutting 20 kilometres of the Schlei coast. Due to its location and the clear lakes on its 52 hectares, Kosel is a very popular resort. The lakes such as the Bültsee and the bathing spots in Weseby and Missunde are highly recommended destinations.
Kosel can also be discovered by bike or on foot. There are 10 information boards displaying the village's diverse history. The paths are partly suitable for Nordic walking. The Laurentius Church, a Romanesque fieldstone church with a striking 12th century round tower is also worth seeing.
Missunde was historically important during the German-Danish war. Cannonballs have been placed in the community in remembrance of the conflict. With the Schlei ferry, you can cross the Schlei very quickly, as it connects the two sides Schwansen and Angeln.
